Crocodile Dreaming

As part of the Nga Aho Whakaari conference Script to Screen are hosting a breakfast session with aboriginal writer/director Darlene Johnson who will screen and talk about her short film Crocodile Dreaming.

Developed over six years with an aboriginal community, Crocodile Dreaming is arguably the first drama to incorporate authentic aboriginal dreaming ritual.  The film features acclaimed aboriginal actor David Gulpilil, extraordinary footage of crocodiles, and special effects help express the spiritual world. Darlene has also made documentaries relating to the films Rabbit Proof Fence and 10 Canoes.
