Launched by Script to Screen in June 2006, The Writer’s Room has featured some of New Zealand’s most respected creators of stories for the screen, as well as international visitors such as Stephen Cleary, Tom Abrams, Michael Goldenberg, Rob Ritchie, Andrew Bovell, and Wendall Thomas. The Writer’s Room has become a focal point for the screen industry providing a forum for experienced and emerging writers, producers and directors to meet, share information, and strengthen ties with others in the film and television community.
Auckland’s regular Writer’s Room takes place on the last Tuesday of every month at The Classic, 321 Queen St, Auckland. $5 koha at door. No bookings are necessary.
